One person died in a double stabbing outside a bar in downtown Upland early Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the 200 block of 2nd Ave, near the Second Avenue Saloon & Sports bar, just before 2 a.m. for a reported assault, according to Upland Police Lt. Anthony Kabayan. Two victims had stab wounds and were taken to a hospital.
One victim died, Kabayan said. Their identity was not available pending notification of family.
The other victim was treated and released,
It wasn’t known if anyone involved had been in the bar. The stabbings occurred after it closed.
A suspect was found and arrested after a short pursuit. The suspect’s identity has not been released by police.
