1 dead after car rolls off 10 to 215 freeway connector in San Bernardino – San Bernardino Sun



One person died and another was injured when their sedan careened off the connector between the 10 and 215 freeways in San Bernardino early Sunday.

The black Toyota Scion was found turned on to its roof at the bottom of an embankment below the connector of the westbound 10 and the northbound 215 freeways at around 2 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person was ejected from the vehicle and found lying in a bike path running along the Santa Ana River below the freeways. That person was declared dead at the scene.

Another person inside the car was taken to Loma Linda Hospital, according to CHP. Their injuries were described as moderate.

According to a CHP log of the crash, police needed a helicopter to help them search for the body.

The dead person has not been identified yet by the San Bernardino County coroner.

There was no information Sunday about what caused the crash.
